~Explaining "THE POTTY" to Joshua~

Alright...this last weekend I was sitting in the chair trying to get Reese to sleep. Joshua was playing with his toys on the side table next to the chair. He comes and stands infront of me and his face gets bright red, like he is going #2. The second he is done he says "i poop." I have always heard that if they are old enough to tell you that they went #1 or #2 in their diaper then maybe they are old enough to start potty training.

We have a potty for him in the bathroom. He will sit on it but the seat has to be down. He will lift the seat up and look in there and doesnt like what he sees, so the seat goes immediatly down!

So after him going #2 i took him in the bathroom next to the potty and i opened up the lid. I told him that he has to start going potty on there. He gave me a very confused look. So then i said "your poop needs to go in the potty" and i pointed to the bottom of it. He looks at me with this completely disgusted look and says "YUCK!" I couldnt help it, I had to laugh!!! Just the look on his face and the way he said it was hilarious!!!

The other day however, i got him to sit on the potty fully clothed. The second he sat down he tooted. He looked at me with a big smile and said "I POOP!!" Its a start and i will take anything!!!
